Stevie Wonder has established and supported various philanthropic entities over his career, primarily operating through the We Are You Foundation and The Wonder Foundation.

These organizations focus heavily on supporting individuals with visual impairments and disabilities, disaster relief, and community outreach.

We Are You Foundation: Longtime supporter of Wayfinder Family Services, providing ongoing donations and presenting the annual Stevie Wonder Star Student Award for blind and visually impaired youth.

The Wonder Foundation: Utilized for targeted humanitarian campaigns, such as directing single release proceeds toward disaster relief efforts like Hurricane Katrina.

House Full of Toys / Hope: An annual event tradition transformed to raise funds and awareness for local first responders, families, and children in need.

Core Causes and Activism

Disability Advocacy: Longstanding work supporting accessibility, serving as a United Nations Messenger of Peace focusing on persons with disabilities, and championing the Marrakesh Treaty which facilitates access to published works for persons who are blind, visually impaired or otherwise print disabled.

Social Campaigns: Pivotal historical advocacy including spearheading the national establishment of Martin Luther King Jr. Day in the United States and advocacy against human rights violations such as apartheid in South Africa.
